Donald & Tori
Bright Morning Farm, Sand Springs, OK
Tori and Donald are such a great couple. I have had the privilege of knowing Donald for around 10 years, but just recently got to meet his beautiful bride Tori. It is amazing how perfect they are for each other, and it takes very little time around them to see it. They truly are made for one another.
Donald and Tori met through a mutual friend. They quickly became friends, but as time went on Tori realized her feelings for him. Though it took Donald a little longer realize it, they finally started dating in February of 2019. Donald proposed on November of 2020 at the rose gardens at Woodward Park in Tulsa.
Their wedding was on a beautiful fall day, November 20th 2021. The day started out at the rustic property of Bright Morning Farms. They have such a beautiful 3600 sq-ft event barn made from reclaimed wood and repurposed building materials. Several members of the wedding party were also able to spend the night in the on-site cottage. The morning was spent laying out all the decorations, and making preparations for the party to come that evening. While the preparations were under way the girls each rotated through hair and makeup with Heather Fox from Fox It Up Studio. After everything was beautifully arranged, and everyone’s hair and makeup was perfect, it was off to the church.
The ceremony was at Holy Family Cathedral in downtown Tulsa, OK. This beautiful church was built in 1914, and is an iconic part of the downtown Tulsa. Its architecture is absolutely breathtaking both inside and out. It was such a great experience to watch Donald as he saw Tori in her dress for the first time walking down the aisle with her father. The ceremony was a traditional catholic ceremony including a mass. After the ceremony concluded we had perfect weather for family portraits on the front steps of the cathedral. Then we were off and headed back to Bright Morning Farm for a time of celebration.
The sun was just starting to get low in the sky as we returned to the Bright Morning Farms, and the rustic landscape and pond provided for beautiful portraits of the newly married couple and their wedding party.
As the couple entered the reception, all of the guest joined hands in prayer over the couple, led by Tori’s Grandfather. They had a delicious catered Barbecue dinner from 1907 BBQ, and Sam Flowers kept the party going strong with great music. The evening concluded with a glowing sparkler sendoff, one of my favorite ways to do a grand exit! All in all it was a great day, and I am so happy for Donald and Tori and can’t wait to see what amazing adventures life has in store for them!
